Though I am teaching my students virtually from home, we are planning to return to in-person teaching this spring. As a new teacher, I have a limited supply of books for our classroom library, and my hope and dream for my students is that they will be able to have access to literature when we return to learning in person. I often tell my students that they will only get better at reading, by reading. By having a variety of books in our class, I hope that they will be able to get even more excited about reading (than they already are) when we return to school.
