I personally feel that making learning fun and enjoyable is a huge part of my classroom. I don't believe in sitting behind a desk and doing paper worksheets constantly. I believe in hands-on learning. So many of my students benefit more from hands-on learning than taking a test or doing a worksheet. This is my first year teaching, and I have nine children in my classroom which means I can give students more one-on-one time. Being able to have more one-on-one time with my students forms a bond and means I have more time to be able to do fun hands-on activities and small groups with them. With some of the hands-on materials I already have in my classroom, I have seen incredible growth since the beginning of the school year which is amazing since we shut down. That's why I have asked for so many hands-on reading and math learning materials. They become so excited to learn while using them, and I think that is a huge positive aspect. I want them to continue to grow and love learning. If I can be the reason they want to keep opening their minds and keep asking questions, there is nothing I could ever want more in my life.
