Fifth graders will learn how to use hydroponics to grow food for their families and for our school. Hydroponically grown vegetables tend to have more nutritional value than other ways of growing vegetables. Students will learn about different nutrients, harvest rates, and proper procedures for growing hydroponically at home. Since COVID-19 has caused financial burdens to most of our families, this will be one way our students can give back to our neighborhood and school families. We are working to understand and have empathy for others. Learning to grow hydroponically will allow us to help others who might need it.
