We have created an interconnected web of creative works titled: “From DC with Love.” This project highlights the various cultural contributions that can be attributed to the deep-rooted idea of “survival” for many of DC’s native residents. This is an opportunity to enhance community pride and highlight the positive contributions of each individual within the community.
The objective was to capture images that represent the impact of today’s current social climate on their community and neighborhood.
The materials will be used to enhance the overall home-learning experience. Photography Lens attachments will be lent out weekly in order to create quality photos suitable for online submissions. These resources contribute to the overall appearance of their work.
Each student will also be given (1) disposable camera where they will be able to acquire physical copies of the photos captured during their narrative project. The Polaroid One Step camera will be used by the Media Team to create a story board for the "From DC with Love". This method teaches students how to create short film using print photos to better assist with script creation.
The Moment Lens will be used for all current and future projects. This lens is an essential part of creating our social media and online publication content.
