Have you ever heard "a picture's worth a thousand words"? This applies to both the teaching and learning sides of education. Without this camera, students find it nearly impossible to document the view through the microscope. Students take more ownership and have a sense of pride about a lab if they capture a photo of what they have seen under the microscope. Learning how to focus a microscope is also easier if you can watch the entire process. A camera like this will also allow the entire class to see what I am seeing as I teach and demonstrate with the microscope.
