Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning environment and make decisions about how they learn best. Currently, my library has five heavy, bulky wooden tables and chairs that are too big for most of my students. The two standing desks that I have chosen will provide students an alternative to sitting at a table. Many students do better when allowed to stand. My daughter was one of those students, but the one standing desk in her classroom was often taken by other students. The two desks provide seating for four kids.
