Students will be able to borrow the decodable readers to read to their families. They will be helpful for early readers especially with students reading to their families during virtual learning. These readers have words that are phonetically regular. Students can sound out the words by themselves. They will feel pride when they can read the whole book. Teachers are learning more all the time about just how students learn to read. Sounding out words is part of the Science of Reading and students need decodable readers to do that.
