The classroom diversity library project will enable the the students to discover the rich diversity among their own classmates. I want to teach and help the students embrace and accept all people. I feel like we truly need a bookshelf to display these rich culturally diverse storybooks in a way that will be inviting to the students. The books I selected will enable the students to learn about people who may be different and to celebrate those differences. Another value of this diversity library will be that the children might see themselves in these storybooks thereby giving them a sense of importance and belonging.

About my class
