I have been trying to teach my students different ways to be who they are. I constantly tell them they have a voice in this world! My students love to make personal connections with what they are reading and writing. The Outsiders is all about accepting people for who they are and reading and discussing this book will teach my students that no matter what someone has been through, in their life, no one deserves to be treated unfairly. This book can help students understand that we are all different, but we are all here to do the same thing...learn, grow, and prosper!
