My word scholars are in need of vocabulary games to use during independent time. These vocabulary games will expand their vocabulary development. It is also expected that their writing and reading skills will improve. Vocabulary development is extremely important in upper elementary school, especially as we transition our fifth graders to the middle school. The vocabulary activities will be implemented in small and whole group instruction to enhance their vocabulary knowledge. At this time, teachers are trying everything they can do to keep their reading lessons engaging, whether in person or virtually. Learning while having fun really makes a difference in a child's life.
