These items will give them a calm space that will allow them to focus on learning and leaving their worries at the door. It's amazing to see that a fidget, special seat, or a mindfulness activity can allow students to focus and learn. We've recently started the mindful minute at our school. We do it every morning and after lunch and recess. You wouldn't believe how behaviors have decreased. Just taking the time to shut our eyes and do some mindful breaths. I always do them with the kids and it helps me center and focus as well. These items will contribute to the overall theme in my classroom. Healthy mind... healthy body!
