I chose the Zentangle edition 9 because it is filled with patterns the speak to everyone. I chose the heavier paper because if the students had and were able to they could use different mediums like watercolors or markers. The metallic pencils since it was different then usual medium and with the holidays coming, it would tie into that. This project to assist students take their complex emotions in and about this pandemic and put them onto paper with brilliant metallic colors. In this time when emotions are often contradictory and mixed in with perhaps some level of trauma, coloring can be a soothing way to focus on them, even if unnamed.
