The best way to give students exactly what they NEED when we are teaching is to use data to drive our instruction. As the K-8 Literacy Coach, I need the technology and resources to go visual with my teachers so they are able to identify the specific needs of each student they teach. Leading collaboration teams and discussing students share by multiple teachers is much more efficient if things can be presented in color, projected, and even be portable so teachers to not always need to come to me! Our students deserve the best possible education we can give them and that starts with knowing where there may be gaps, where there is strength, and were we can extend the individual learning of everyone we teach. Literacy expands every classroom and subject matter and the work I do with teachers and students will translate into all of their school work and their daily lives!
