LEGO MINDSTORM EV3 Robotics kits and STEM materials will enable us to expand our STEM program to our Glendale location. Our new STEM programs engage students both on-campus, as well as those that are distance learning through use of a SMARTBoard, Zoom, and take home STEM kits. Encompassing mathematics, science, technology, and engineering the IntelliSTEM program brings ideas to life, invigorating and innovating education for our students. This requires perseverance and grit, and when conquered, raises pride and self esteem building students' confidence in their abilities. STEM activities require the ability to visualize, to hypothesize, and to take science, technology, engineering, and mathematical concepts and translate them to real-world applications. Cultivating teamwork and collaboration in a variety of group settings, students will design, invent, productively struggle, fail, then problem solve as they code using programs such as Scratch and Python to enhance the LEGO MINDSTORM experience. Creating excitement and motivation to master standards, the IntelliSTEM program will enhance learning, and inspire students to enter STEM-related fields.
