Since I teach art, mainly ceramics and graphic design, the monitor and microphone will be help in my live classes and when I video demonstrations for viewing for students that can't be on live. I will be able to work through student problems by showing my screen while looking at theirs to help them troubleshoot through various situations that always come up. The monitor alone will help me from neck strain from always looking down at my laptop. These products aren't specific for my students, but they will help me to able to teach them better.
