Students are allowed to use basic calculators for the Georgia Milestone exam. In order for them to know how to operate these calculators, they need to practice daily in the classroom. This is especially useful for Special Education Students. Although I put calculators on my supply list, many students have not purchased them or do not bring them to school daily for use. Many students in our area are from high poverty and/or single parent homes and do not have the support necessary to have all school supplies. Please help us help them be prepared so that can be successful on this end of year assessment.
