Students are learning 100% remotely for all Engineering classes, and they are missing out on the "hands-on" learning that is so widely missed during the 2020-21 school year. With that in mind, I have taken it upon myself to teach all of my students how to use online 3D design software, and have been printing out as many projects as I can for students to pick up from the school so they can have something tangible to show their families and be proud of their hard work. To be safe, all items are sprayed with disinfectant, and placed in ziplock bags for 24 hours before students are allowed to collect them. One new 3D printer would go a long way to increasing the ability to provide this access to student's working prototypes, and bring back the pride in one's work when a student can touch and feel their work once more.
