I am requesting four standing desks which will allow my students with ADHD to move around while learning and not distract the other students. These desks will go around the outside of my classroom and they will be like a mobile learning station. Students love the opportunity to get special treatment!! I love being able to make them feel important and special. Students who have ADHD can't control themselves from moving and at times get themselves in trouble by fidgeting too much. Being able to stand and move back and forth while receiving instruction allows for them to still have movement but to be able to concentrate on learning. These desks will make them feel like they are the boss of their own learning in my room! Often times it's the little things that my kids appreciate the most!
