With the rise in case numbers of Covid-19 in our area, our school district is moving to full distance learning. My second grade students have been in a hybrid learning situation since September. This transition will be difficult for all, but we will get through it together. To do so, I am looking for donations for a second monitor that will help me engage and connect with my little learners. A second monitor for me to deliver lessons will help my distant learners be more engaged in their learning at home. I will use this second monitor at my home while I am delivering lessons remotely to students, and to engage students in a virtual field trip to the Gibbs Farm. During this field trip kids will learn about the experiences of early settlers and native people in our area. Since I teach second grade, these 7 and 8 year olds will also benefit from this donation in all areas of their learning. From whole group lessons in Math, Reading, Writing and Science, to small group instruction in the students' areas of need. I look forward to continuing my important work with your help.
