New painting supplies are long overdue for my students. It has not made our painting units fun trying to find good brushes, mixing paints without palette knives, and me eating yogurt for a solid month to get water cups. A new classroom set of painting supplies would be very refreshing to our painting units. Since their course fees are spent on consumable supplies it is difficult to order new supplies that are reusable. Currently, my students use "the butt" of the brush to mix their paints to avoid ruining the brushes any further. Unfortunately, this often results with paint on their clothes, the desks, the floor, etc. Having a set of palette knives would be amazing in extending the life of our new brushes. The brushes are very hard and barely pliable no matter how much we clean them. We have very few detail brushes as those are the first to get tossed. I am also very tired of eating yogurt to get water cups. Stable water pots would be amazing so they don't spill (and I can eat something else for breakfast for once).
