Copies of these books will help me teach an effective Merchant of Venice unit by giving each student in class a physical copy of the text. Rather than giving a gigantic computer printed copy that falls apart or a digital copy they'll undoubtedly hate (kid tested, kid disapproved), I want to give my students a book they can use and peruse with ease. In teaching Shakespeare, I utilize four-person group table reads to lower the anxiety of reading in front of the whole class and involve the entire class in reading rather than four or five kids in front of the class. These books will help make that happen.
