The ultimate goal for this project is to be able to provide needed intervention materials as quickly as possible to begin to help students develop the social-emotional learning skills needed for success throughout life. The members of the Behavior Support Team are a group of both Board Certified Behavior Analysts and certified teachers who work in schools to help students achieve positive behavioral outcomes. Our role in the school is to identify behavior interventions that are needed to help students overcome the challenges they are facing while learning. Access to the tools and material in this project will allow us to create the intervention materials student's will need for success. These materials will be used to create tools for students who need additional behavior supports in the classroom to help them develop self-management and self-regulation skills that are needed for success not only in school but beyond the walls of a school building. We will create visual aids for students that help them to understand what is expected of them. We will also create systems using evidence-based practices to assist them in learning appropriate self-management and regulation skills. Many of the materials requested will be used to create hands-on task box activities that will allow students to participate and learn in their classrooms in a way that best meets their needs and learning style. We are excited to get started with this project! Having access to a variety of materials will allow us to provide students with the tools they need to be successful in school and in life!
