This printer and scanner that I am requesting will allow me to supply essential resources to my students while we are all learning from home. One of the most important ways to teach students about social studies is the examination primary sources as well as visual aids such as charts and maps. With these tools, I be able to add anchor charts and maps to my background in my “home classroom” (kitchen), and I will be able to scan physical sources and upload them to my Google Classroom. Print resources and scanned documents will help my highly motivated students improve their understanding and appreciation of history. The documents students will use will improve their analysis skills, enhance their map and chart literacy skills. With these resources, I will be able to better reach students who need visual aids to comprehend historical context. These are the skills essential to their success on tests and college.
