The greenhouse project will be used in conjunction with learning science, social studies, and ELA standards. We have many projects in mind when it comes to learning about the water cycle, erosion, agriculture, weather, and early life in the United States. This greenhouse will provide lifelong lessons for my students along with critical thinking and problem solving skills The other part of my project is to provide classic literature to my 4th grade gifted students as we are learning about story elements. The literature will help expose my students to a vast array of author styles which will provide them with the knowledge they need to succeed at reading. As a new teacher, I have little resources for being able to teach my students these important life skills and this project will certainly go a long way to help.
