Our school district is committed to implementing daily Social Emotional Learning (SEL) for all students this school year! It is so important that children learn how to identify what emotions they are feeling and how to express them appropriately at home, in the school setting, and in the community. As the School Counselor I will use these picture books to introduce and teach Social Emotional Learning skills in school-wide assemblies, classroom lessons, small groups, and individual school counseling sessions. My students love when I read books in our assemblies, lessons, and groups! I would like to add more SEL picture books to my library that will allow me to engage my students and teach SEL content in a fun and meaningful way.
