These supplies will help increase student engagement and academic achievement during remote learning. As of right now, NYC is on the verge of another school shut down. My co-teacher and I have been able to give high quality instruction during the blended model of teaching, however we acknowledge the limitations once we transition to fully remote learning. My students are need of math and reading materials during remote instruction. The ability for the students to have tactile math materials while learning new concepts are essential for my students' mastery of the subject. There is also no substitute for a real books. It is essential that my students have an authentic reading experience with books in their hands to grow as readers.
