I am requesting balance scales, hot plates and Texas Instruments calculators. In my class, students learn best by doing experiments and lab activities. That is what makes chemistry fun and exciting! Seeing the students get excited with color changes and seeing a reaction take place the first time is priceless! The materials I am asking for are integral it the lab experience and will be used a lot! I asked for calculators because smartphone calculators are not able to do the functions we need and we literally use our calculators every day. Students will use the hot plates to heat liquids and the balances to weigh chemicals.
