I teach 2nd grade in a lower-income area of Queens. My class is fully remote. This means my students must keep up with the latest advancements in technology. Even though education is changing every single day, students still love to read books. While they like to utilize online platforms for reading, sometimes it's nice to sit down and read a real book, not a screen. My kids have a very small collection of books at home. Some students do not have any books at home at all. I would like to gift them books that will hold their interests and keep them reading at home! My students will love getting their hands on new books.
