This conference promotes increased knowledge and experience as it relates to my students' reading and literacy needs. My hope is that attending this conference will give me a renewed sense of energy and purpose when it comes to helping my students with language deficits explore their reading curriculum and expectations. Most, if not all, of my students struggle with reading because of their global language difficulties. Language impacts so many aspects of reading, that even things like math and science that used to be their strengths are now becoming their enemies. I want to attend this conference so that I can learn how to better support their needs in a time when the demand on our students is so high.
