Written communication is as imperative to students' academic success as oral communication. Writing is a major part of the 2nd grade curriculum in which students are expected to meet the grade level expectations. As a teacher, it is necessary to teach my kids how to express themselves in writing, therefore, providing the kids with these resources will prepare them to be effective communicators. These resources will be used daily in our guided reading lessons with fidelity and rigor. This will ensure they are equipped and ready as third grade writers.
