These materials will help provide more variety in their learning. Due to our current pandemic situation, I am having to make and buy multiple copies of independent items for them to engage with. This is costly and time consuming. Also, due to our current situation, my learners need to keep many things at their fingertips so that the spreading of germs is kept to a minimum. Some of the items, like the seat sacks and the magazine holders, will help with this also. Finally, I am in need of independent items I can clean easily. Each week my learners select three books from my shelves. Their discarded books must remain in a bin for a few days. This bin removes quite a few books from my shelves for my learners to choose from so we need more books to keep the shelves full.
