My kids lack the basic passion for learning and escpecially stuggle when it comes to writing and math. The system has them beaten. I try so hard to do my best to uplift them and give them the confidence they need. I bought my kids bookmarks with a highlighting window that they were allowed to keep and you would think I paid for their college education with how appreciative they were. It's amazing to see their eyes light up at something they could call their own. I want to get it where they know that they have something they can practice needed skills with that belongs to them. If I get these books I'm going to give each of my students one with their name on it in permanent marker so they know it is there. We have just gone back to virtual only but I will use my money to mail it to them if I have to, or just drop it off to them.
