Mathematics is a challenge for my students. As the art teacher I was asked to create lessons that incorporate mathematics and also reading. I am hoping to use 3D pens in the art room to scaffold lessons with the math teachers at our school. I'm hoping to expand on this project and have students create basic architecture and structures using this technology. Older students will be able to create 2D pieces and transform them into 3D pieces. I will challenge students in my art class to find the area of the forms they create!
