As this is my students first time being exposed to rigorous project-based learning/STEM curriculum, we have been focusing on community development through storytelling and designing. My students' final project has a focus of community development and storytelling through 3D design. They have been tasked with creating a park structure within their Binghampton community that is accessible to children and increases their movement skills. They have been asked to create this design in Tinkercad, a free 3D computer-aided design (CAD) tool. If my students have access to a 3D printer, then they are able to fully engage with this STEM skill and create a prototype of their design that they can showcase to their community!
