Magazines help all students, including striving learners, succeed through our engaging content, age-appropriate materials, differentiated reading levels, a blended learning model and dynamic digital tools such as videos, assessment quizzes and so much more (taken from the Scholastic website). My students LOVE discussing current events and where they fit in with these events. Scholastic Scope would engage my students to read, write, and discuss what they are learning with their peers. Middle schoolers have often lost the interest in reading, and Scholastic Scope magazines would give them the boost they need.
