I recently relocated to Honolulu to continue my career in Special Education. Unfortunately, this meant that I had to leave my classroom favorites behind on the mainland. I am starting from scratch building up my classroom tools again. Right now my students have regular desks and chairs which have been provided by the school. I would love to be able to provide more options for the upcoming school year. There are many benefits to incorporating flexible seating which include, using up excess energy, increased motivation and engagement, and improvement in core strength and posture. Some specific items that could be useful in my classroom are wobble stools, balance ball chairs, lap desks, floor cushions, and clip boards.
