Composition notebooks, pencils, glue, scissors, and colored pencils are basic necessities in a classroom. However, in our classroom, we will mainly be used to create interactive math journals that my scholars will be able to keep throughout the year to support and engage them in their learning journey. Interactive math journaling aims to help develop students’ organizational skills, note-taking skills, collaborative skills, and creativity. Interactive journaling is one way to engage scholars in the concepts we are learning while also allowing their creativity to shine in our math class! I hope to provide these materials for my scholars to make this new school year a fun and collaborative year.
