Starting out, students often need to hear their voice to understand how they can improve their reading skills. Reading to others helps with this but hearing yourself can improve student reading skills. Improved reading becomes refined reading with skills like fluency, diction, intonation, characterization, and performance. I want to create a culture for student improvement that includes building confidence in reading and voice structure for students. Some of the options for having multiple voice recorders are home assignments that will produce student reading adventures, performance practices, take home stories, interview assignments...and many more options for learning with vocal tools at home and at school.
