I am requesting Versatiles. Hands-on activities always engage the students more than traditional paper pencil assignments. I think the students will enjoy trying to get the correct pattern with the VersaTiles, therefore they will try harder to work the problems correctly instead of just guessing. These hands-on activities will help reinforce math concepts being taught like geometry, data analysis, and numbers and operations. Being able to move from abstract concepts to hand-on practice will help the students to internalize skills and gain a better understanding. This will help to build the foundation they need for fourth grade and beyond. Students can use them while I work with other small groups or when they finish early to have regular practice with needed skills.
