By being able to teach my students the ukulele, I will be teaching them a life skill that they can take and use for many years. Some instruments that are learned in the music classroom cannot be played outside of class. For example, being able to play the recorder is a skill that is not useful outside of the music room. If a student learns to play the ukulele, they can take that skill on with them to their home or when hanging out with friends. They are able to provide fun and entertainment to those around them always!
