Every year, I teach my students about colonial life. This year, my students are at home and although I am teaching virtually, I still want to be able to provide them with hands-on projects to use their creativity in order to get them excited about their learning of U.S. History.
This project would allow me to assist students with the materials needed to create various projects that relate to colonial life. Students will be reading about Colonial Life and then will be able to create multiple projects related to their learning. The projects include anything from creating their own 18th century signs, to making their own colonial recipes, replicating colonial clothing, and spinning their own yarn.
I believe this project will help students during such a difficult time to be excited about their own learning and to even involve their families at home in their learning.
