Providing books to these students will encourage them to read at home, boost their confidence in their reading levels, and give them materials they wouldn’t normally have. We will dive into the stories to analyze the characters, practice comprehension skills, and compare and contrast the book and the movie. It will make these struggling readers learn to love to read. They will practice writing responses that will prepare them for state testing, whether it’s about their favorite character or answering a question from the story. Help build their literacy!
