My students lack fundamental reading skills as a result of the pandemic. My students love to be read to and enjoy learning about current events and making connections between things they read and real-life experiences. The materials I choose will be used both at home and in the classroom. Students will be able to check out books from our classroom library. The magazines will be using in the classroom as part of our daily reading class. We will use the articles to learn about nonfiction text and different reading skills.
