Currently our library has a fair amount of nonfiction books. However, many of our books are old and out of date, so students skip over the nonfiction section in the library. We are especially lacking science books for our younger readers, grades K-2. Reading about science is a great way to spark creativity and imagination; perhaps planting the seeds for the next Elon Musk or Bill Gates! These new books will encourage students both in the primary and intermediate grades to chose nonfiction books. I am hoping that they will find that nonfiction books can be just as enjoyable as the fictional ones.
