Kindergarten looks a little different this year. We are not allowed to wander the room they way that we normally could in typical times. It is hard for little people to stay in their seats all day. I want to give them an alternative and comfortable place to land. A place other than their desk to sit. Our individual mats and desk will give us a comfortable place to sit other than our desk, and when we are able, we can put them all together for one big family meeting area. These mats will also allow them to move to a quite place in the room and sit and enjoy a book or just some quiet time away from the chaos. Many of the students in my class have some sort of trauma in their lives and school is the only quiet place they have.
