Having a large screen/monitor will allow me to have all my students visible on that screen while teaching from my laptop screen. I teach culinary arts and share my lectures and cooking demonstrations in our Zoom meetings. I thought a culinary class online would never work, but I have worked very hard to create interactive and engaging lesson plans through a variety of platforms. For example, I use Quizziz for games and quizzes, Youtube for my videos and demonstrations, Flipgrid, Google Slides, and virtual recipe books. Having an extra screen/monitor will also allow me to record my demonstrations using a webcam or seeing students and being able to answer questions during live demos. I can have them cook at home and actually be able to watch them while they are in their kitchens, to provide feedback. It will also make meeting with students in small groups or individually, much easier.
