This year, we are unable to share supplies due to Covid precautions. I am requesting materials to be used during instruction to teach students in individual teaching sessions. These include materials to teach building block communication skills which can be taught through motor imitation and listener response skills. Materials like the Birds in a Nest sort, Snap-n-learn Llamas, and the All About Me Sorting Neighborhood will be used to teach students to follow directions while playing and imitate motor movements of staff. Requested materials also include objects to motivate students to learn and to teach to request. Items like the giant slinky, play dough, and bubble timers are motivation and can be used to teach first requests and/or create motivating opportunities for students to complete demands and gain reinforcement. Due to Covid precautions, we cannot share materials throughout the day and because of this, all my students have not benefited from the same learning opportunities. Students work towards independent skills during their time in my classroom. These skills are taught through task folders and task boxes. Skills can be matching, sorting, assembly, etc. Materials like the toothbrush containers, color sort, and Velcro help to make creating these folders/boxes. I'd love to be able to provide individual sets materials so ALL my students can still have an engaging learning experiences while staying safe.
