LEGOs just might be the best toy ever created and many of my Somali students, who spent their formative years in a refugee camp, have never used them. LEGOs inspire creativity, problem solving and support spacial reasoning. In this project, I will send LEGOs home for students to use for rapid prototyping as an introduction to an engineering design challenge. LEGOs provide a way to quickly make a physical prototype to plan and test form and function. LEGOs also allow for quick alterations making them a reusable prototyping tool for co-creation.
