Field trips are an important part of learning experiences for young children. It gives them the opportunity to see places they may not otherwise get to while celebrating learning that has taken place in the classroom. These experiences open the eyes of young learners to the world around them and all the possibilities that surround us.
Provide a classroom of young, eager learners with engaging virtual field trips through the use of green screen technology. As my students continue their remote learning experience, I am looking for ways to replicate the standard kindergarten school year as much as possible. One way I look forward to doing this is through the use of engaging virtual field trips displayed on a green screen to help students feel like they are really there!
Virtual field trips planned for the remainder of the school year include trips to the zoo, aquarium, and locations around the globe as we continue to learn about living things and what they require to thrive. For our interactive read alouds, backgrounds can be applied to the green screen to make the stories even more engaging and help these young readers feel like they are right on the pages with the story characters! This green screen will be a great addition to our online learning experience.
