Recently the school district purchased MyOn through Accelerated Reading. MyOn has online ebooks with audio. The students have their own individual computers to listen to the books but not the headphones. The children may take the headphones home if they can't afford a pair. MyOn will help keep kids reading through headphones. Through ebooks they are able to listen to fluency. Nonfiction is not everybody's favorite but being able to listen to nonfiction can open so many doors. The headphones will bring the knowledge they are learning from the books through their ears.
